Maths4Life forms part of the Skills for Life strategy for improving adult literacy and numeracy.

The resource, Thinking Through Mathematics, is a continuation of the work started with the Standards Unit with its Improving Learning in Mathematics framework. It draws on the work from Malcolm Swan, University of Nottingham, and Susan Wall, Wilberforce College Hull, to develop sessions appropriate to Entry and Level 1 learners.

My key responsibility was to produce the final resource, containing a series of teaching and learning sessions and a DVD featuring three teachers with their learners using some of the activities from the resource. The purpose of the video was for use in staff training. I directed and edited the video.
